How endangered are they? Various agricultural chemicals, mainly DDT, led to a massive decline in AWP populations in the mid 20th century. Since stricter environment regulations have come into effect, their numbers have rebounded significantly. Although it is estimated that there are a healthy 100,000 wild American White Pelicans, they are still a California Species of Special Concern (CSC) because their habitats are still threatened by shoreline erosion and the occasional chemical spill.
Has a gentle touch
Believes in destiny, sees a purpose for all things
Never seems to get upset, even in the most trying of situations
Seemingly immune to trends and fashion
