Allen's Hummingbird is an invention of Tim Allen, although some consider credit to be shared with his son, Jonathan Taylor Thomas Allen. It was created on Tim Allen's TV Show, Tim Allen's Tool Time Show in season 7, episode 18. Tim creates the hummingbird in his laboratory off of an illustration that Wilson acquires at an illegal illuminati auction. He is initially unable to get the hummingbird to work. However, Jonathan is able to provide "more power" by properly aligning the crystalline matrix, unbeknownst to his father.
The hummingbird goes on to escape and find a supply of Argon gas, which is uses to reproduce. Allen's Hummingbird currently has a range that extends from the California coast south through Central America.
